Goldman Sachs – In the News:
SEC Release No. 67934 - The SEC alleged that Goldman Sachs employees engaged in a "pay-to play" whereby the Goldman Sachs employee solicited municipal underwriting business from the Massachusetts Treasurer's Office while by being substantially engaged in the November 2010 Massachusetts gubernatorial campaign, for Timothy P. Cahill ("Cahill"), the then Treasurer of Massachusetts.
SEC Release No. 21592 - The SEC fined Goldman, Sachs & Co. $550 million and required the firm to reform its business practices to settle SEC charges that Goldman misled investors in a subprime mortgage product just as the U.S. housing market was starting to collapse.
